A/N Big thanks to everyone who have read and commented, i'm so happy it was liked :D Posting of 'Deeper Shade Of Blue' will begin tomorrow!
Gwen and Ianto watched the monitor closely, after a couple of minutes the Weevil did the same thing as Tosh. It threw it's head back and let out a loud gasping sound as it's eyes flew open and glowed violet and the then a minute later relaxed back into sleep again.
Neither of them could see what had been expelled from Janet's body but something was defiantly loose in the cell, they could see the walls vibrating as something hit them with force. This went on for a five minutes or so before it ceased, they watched for a few moments more and then agreed that whatever it was must have perished.
After deciding to keep the temperature lower for a little longer they headed towards the medical bay, both of them desperate to know how Toshiko was. Looking down from the railings they could see she was still out cold and was wrapped in blankets, both Jack and Owen looking at her with worry etched on their faces.
“Jack, anything we can do?” Ianto called down.
“Any more blankets hidden anywhere?” Owen called up in reply. “We have to get her body temperature back up.”
“I'll see what I can find.” He replied as he rushed off towards the archives as Gwen ran down the steps into the medical bay.
Gwen took her hand. “Come on sweetheart wake up for us.”
“Has her temperature risen anymore?” Jack asked Owen.
“One degree in the last fifteen minutes, she's still too cold.”
“Her hands are freezing.” Gwen stated, rubbing one of Tosh's between her own.

Ianto skidded to a halt about halfway into the archives, he knew it was there somewhere if only he could remember exactly where as it was still waiting to be archived properly. Searching the shelves he eventually came across what he was looking for, clutching it tight he ran back to the medical bay.

“Here, try this.” Ianto said thrusting the alien item at Owen. “It seems to respond to body heat and warms up like, well a hot water bottle.”
The item looked like it was made from solid metal but as Owen took it from Ianto it felt more like silk and it was very warm. It was about six inches square and the longer he held it in his hands the warmer it got. Owen held it in his hands until it was almost too hot to hold and then put it between the blankets covering Toshiko.
Gwen was still clutching Tosh's hand and Owen was hovering around with the scanner so Ianto moved quietly around the small room and stood close to Jack, he brushed the pad of his thumb over the palm of Jack's hand.
“She's going to be fine Jack, I know she is.”
“Did it, the entity die?” Jack asked, not taking his eyes off of Tosh.
“Seems that way, whatever came out of Janet tried to escape the cell but it stopped after a few minutes and nothing more happened to Janet, I left the temperature down low though.”
“Best be on the safe side.” Jack replied, giving Ianto's hand a quick squeeze.
“Tosh honey?” Gwen said softly as she felt her fingers move in her hand. “Owen I think she's coming round.”
“Her body temp. is nearly back to normal, Tosh are are you back with us darlin'.” He asked moving closer.
“What happened?” She murmured very quietly as he eyes fluttered open, all of them relieved to see they were their normal colour.
“You had some kind of entity in your head, we had to get it out.” Jack told her as he and Ianto neared the bed smiling. “We couldn't tell you as it would have panicked and might have killed you.”
“But it's gone now?” She asked as she tried to sit up.
“Oh no you don't, you stay laying down for a while, doctors orders.” Owen told her. “But yes, it's gone.”
“From the plane? Oh my god, why didn't I know it was there?”
“You were just a host, but if we hadn't got it out it would have lived on your brain cells.” Jack told her and she visibly shuddered.
“You warm enough?” Ianto asked her.
“Yes, thanks.”
“Okay, well I think you lot should bugger off and let Tosh get some rest before I allow her to go home. Actually might be a good idea if she still spends what's left of the night at yours Gwen.” Owen suggested.
“Sure, not a problem.”
“Okay, well I'll give her a couple of hours observation and then she can go.” Owen stated, shooing them from the medical bay.
Gwen went to call Rhys as it was now the early hours of the next day to ask him to make up the sofa for Tosh while Jack headed to his office along with Ianto and closed the door behind them.
“You know, Tosh has you to thank.” Jack said, pulling Ianto into his arms. “All your research was what saved her, along with that alien heat pad.”
“Just doing my job Sir.”
“Well, I for one think you deserve to be rewarded.” Jack grinned, kissing him hard.
“I'll be looking forward to it Sir.”
“Oh god, I love the way you call me Sir.” Jack growled before kissing him again, not stopping till they heard a loud shriek from Tosh in the medical bay.
“Owen Harper, please tell me it wasn't you who stripped off my clothes.” She yelled followed by an even louder shriek of pain from Owen as she hit him.
“Some things never change.” Ianto grinned. “Now, where were we?”
The End.
