I like it. The one thing that left me faintly disturbed is that Jack never met Rhi and Johnny himself. That he (seemed to) purposely not allow that sort of connection to occur. Almost like he didn't dare allow any more entanglements than necessary for self-preservation. It left a lot of loose ends for me at the end of CoE.
