Life, the universe and everything ...
So, here we go ...
Firstly i have almost finished uploading all my fic's to AO3 - archiveofourown.org/users/missthingsplace/works - including the few WIP's that never got finished thanks to my bunnies and muses doing a bunk! I have been rereading some of them as i uploaded and i am hoping to give the muses and bunnies a kick up the bum and hopefully make a go of finishing them.
I have been attempting to write my first novel for over a year and it is in need to a good read through and some jiggling about as i am not happy with my current prologue and the back stories of the characters are still in a separate document - i need to work out where they fit. Ii also need to write another summery so that i can actually get some cover art commissioned. I wrote one, didn't save and my darling laptop updated itself in the night and it was lost.
In a recent post i mentioned that my son had been diagnosed with Porphyria. He has had a scan and his spleen is very enlarged, a complication of the condition and now needs to see a doctor again to find out what they need to do. My daughter wanted to be tested too, once she knows which version he actually as as there are 8 types.
I had a chest infection three weeks ago and still have a random cough, it is most annoying and i feel shattered soon.
I am dieting again, and actually losing weight, hopefully it will continue, i only have to lose one more pound and that will make a total loss of 2,5 stone or 35 pounds. It is being stubborn.
Scratch has settled in completely and he and Sniff get on brilliantly, even if it is like having two toddlers in the house!
Some of you may remember about three and a half years ago i got very upset when i was taken off the job i had been doing for 9.5 years for no apparent reason and despite taking it further i got nowhere? Well, the manager that did that was shipped off to another store a couple of years ago and as before the admin manager wanted me back on the CS desk. About 6 months ago i got to work to find her desperate as they had no-one to do the job and i told her i would do it for her. The following day the deputy thanked me, saying he knew it wasn't an easy decision for me to do it after what happened. Not long after he asked me if i would go back on there and i finally agreed to do it 3 days a week and just before xmas i said i would go on there every day if he wanted and now i am. My confidence was knocked for six and it too me quite a while to feel comfortable on there again but i think i am mostly back to where i was now.
It was around the time were were burgled too, which didn't help ... to say i am still a little obsessed with the house being locked, chained and bolted in an understatement!
My son is back living with us at the moment as he had to leave his flat - the landlord decided he wanted to sell. My daughter now has her own lovely terraced house with her hubby in the same road we lived in with she was a kid :) My daughter and i are off to London for 5 days/ 4 nights at the end of may for our usual birthday fun, this maybe the last one for a while as she has mentioned trying for a baby maybe this year ... I haven't seen my Grandson for around 2,5 years :( ... at least when they have kids i know i will get to see them.
Anyway, i shall stop waffling now, i need to go to bed soon and i am sure i have bored you all stupid!
