I love the way you have put this together: they both grief for the same fact... but Jack is sad for the losses he will have, while Ianto is sad for the pain he will inflict into Jack....
This was beautiful.
Jack being emotional makes me smile...
Hoping for "Smutty Ice Cream Eating" soon...
